Capim Branco I Plant

The Hydroelectric Plant, part of the Amador Aguiar Power Complex, along with the Amador Aguiar II Hydroelectric Plant, started the construction got underway in 2003 and it began operating in 2006.

It is regarded as a run-of-the-river hydroelectric plant with a reservoir that covers an area of 18.66 km2 and extends through the municipalities of Uberlândia, Araguari, and Indianópolis.

The Capim Branco Energia Consortium (CCBE) manages the Amador Aguiar I and II hydroelectric plants and is formed by Aliança Geração de Energia (87.4%) and Votorantim Metais Zinco (12.63%).
