Capim Branco II Plant

The Hydroelectric Plant, part of the Amador Aguiar Power Complex, along with the Amador Aguiar I Hydroelectric Plant, started the construction got underway in 2004 and it began operating in 2006.

It is regarded as a run-of-the-river hydroelectric plant with a reservoir that covers an area of 45.11 km2 and extends through the municipalities of Uberlândia, Araguari, and Indianópolis.

The Capim Branco Energia Consortium (CCBE) manages the Amador Aguiar I and II hydroelectric plants and is formed by Aliança Geração de Energia (87.4%) and Votorantim Metais Zinco (12.63%).
