CEA Funil
Inaugurated on July 23, 2007, the Funil Environmental Education Center (CEA Funil), is an educational space aimed at schools, institutions and the community in general that wish to expand their knowledge about the biodiversity of the region and the hydroelectric project.
Visitors are aware of the recovery and environmental preservation actions developed by the Funil HPP and also have the opportunity to learn about the operation of the Fish Transposition System (STP), also known as the fish elevator.
The itinerary of the scheduled visits also includes an explanation of the operation of the Funil Plant. The visitor learns, for example, that the greatest advantage of hydroelectric plants is the clean transformation of the natural energy resource. In this type of enterprise there is no polluting waste and there is a low cost of energy generation, since the main energy input, the river water, is inserted in the plant.
