Aliança Energia employees mobilize for solidarity Christmas

Christmas Cover Solidarity Tree

At Aliança Energia, social responsibility actions are carried out based on the voluntary engagement of its employees in the communities where it operates. In December 2025, through the Voluntary Aliança Energia Program, conducted by the Volunteer Committee, the adoption of letters in the Solidarity Tree was promoted, in response to the requests of children from the Quilombola Community of Macambira, in Lagoa Nova (RN), near the Acauã Wind Complex, and from the district of Santo Antônio do Rio Doce, in the vicinity of the Aimorés HPP, in Aimorés (MG), who shared their wishes for gifts for Christmas.

The children of these localities sent letters to Santa Claus, requesting gifts. To meet these requests, a toy collection campaign was planned among employees. As part of the action, the “Solidarity Tree” was taken to the company’s Annual Meeting, held on December 9, in Belo Horizonte, which brought together employees from all the company’s units. The letters were organized in the symbolic tree and made available so that each employee could choose one and contribute to the campaign. In the end, R$ 12,980.30 in cash were collected, making it possible to serve more than 306 letters received.

The first delivery of gifts took place on December 19, in the quilombola community of Macambira, with the participation of 132 children, all contemplated with a toy.

Talita, a resident of the quilombola community of Macambira, reported her experience:

Solidarity Christmas represented unity and respect for our roots, going far beyond the delivery of gifts. It meant a look of care for our history, for the well-being of our people and our children, bringing joy to the entire community. We are deeply grateful to Aliança Energia for this partnership that values our culture, recognizes our people and invests in our future. Our thanks to the entire Aliança team for providing a happier and more hopeful end of the year for everyone in the quilombola community.”

The second delivery took place on December 23, at the Botanical Park, in Aimorés, with the participation of 174 children.

Gerliane de Freitas da Silva, secretary of the Santo Antônio do Rio Doce District Association, highlighted:

The initiative is very important, because sometimes parents are not able to give gifts. It’s great to see the children happy, they were super excited. I would like to thank each employee who was part of this, as it is very important for our children.”

Marjore de Freitas Souza, one of the participating children commented:

I liked it because it is very important, and you are helping the children. I really enjoyed it!”

The vice-president of the Santo Antônio do Rio Doce District Association, Cristiane Campini, pointed out:

It’s so good when everyone can live this moment, this magic of Christmas, bringing joy to the children. It is a very important work so that each family can live this experience in unity. The impact is huge, because they are low-income families, and these children will have the opportunity to experience the magic of Christmas together with their families.”

The Energy Trading and Regulation analyst and president of the Volunteer Committee of the Aliança Energia, Luiza Guerra, said:

It’s so good when everyone can live this moment, this magic of Christmas, bringing joy to the children. It is a very important work so that each family can live this experience in unity. The impact is huge, because they are low-income families, and these children will have the opportunity to experience the magic of Christmas together with their families.”

Aliança Energia’s initiative is aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as it supports the eradication of poverty (SDG 1), promotes social equity (SDG 10) and contributes to the development of inclusive and sustainable communities in the territories where it operates (SDG 11).

The Christmas campaign demonstrated how organized actions can generate effective results, through the collection and distribution of toys, engagement in all stages of the campaign and direct interaction with children from the communities served. The initiative strengthens the bonds between the company, its employees and local residents.
