Studies to imbricate, with maximum efficiency, different photovoltaic technologies in existing plants, sharing T and D and increasing generation capacity.
Objective
To imbricate photovoltaic technologies with existing plants, increasing their generation capacity.
Result
Provide for the minimization of the impacts of the expansion of transmission and distribution infrastructures, as well as the construction of new generation plants, since it provides for hybridization in anthropized and previously studied and licensed areas. It also allows the development of photovoltaic technology at the national level.

- Step 1 (PD 1704) 60 months from November 2017.
- Step 2 (PD 2304) 12 months from March 2023.

- Stage 1 (PD 1704): approximately R$ 26.8 million after adjustments and amendments.
- Stage 2 (PD 2304): about R$ 5 million after adjustments and amendments.
Actions in 2023
In 2023, the development contract underwent an amendment, and the formal closing stages of R&D 1704 (stage 1) were completed, and the opening of R&D 2304 was carried out as stage 2 of project 1704, according to guidelines received by ANEEL. In technical terms, the monitoring research of the operation of UFV Pedra Lorena, a floating photovoltaic implemented in the reservoir of the Aimorés HPP, which has floats 100% nationalized by the project, as well as the first mega of UFV Flor de Mandacaru, a photovoltaic plant on land that makes up a hybrid set with the Santo Inácio Wind Power Plant, allowing the analysis of generation complementarity with the Wind Power Plant and, also, the impact of shading towers on photovoltaic generation. During this period, the stages of completion of the implementation and connection of the second mega of UFV Flor de Mandacaru were also carried out, following the ONS network procedures.
