Traditional Communities
Traditional peoples and communities are defined as culturally differentiated groups that have their own forms of social organization. The territories and natural resources belonging to these peoples are necessary “for their cultural, social, religious, ancestral and economic reproduction, using knowledge, innovation and practices generated and transmitted by tradition” (Decree 6.040/2007).
Among these ethnically differentiated peoples are the indigenous and quilombolas. Aliança Energia develops a relationship based on respect for cultural diversity and the rights of these populations.
