Located in the northern region of Minas Gerais, the Sol do Cerrado Photovoltaic Plant is one of the largest solar parks in Latin America. With a total installed capacity of 766 MWp, it can generate clean and renewable energy sufficient to supply a city of 800,000 residents, while avoiding the emission of 134,000 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere per year (equivalent to the emissions of 100,000 compact cars). The plant includes 1.5 million solar modules, a total area of 5,500 hectares, and 1,280 hectares of installed area.

During the construction of the Sol do Cerrado Plant, approximately 3,000 jobs were created, with nearly 50% of the workforce coming from local communities and 16% being women, achieving zero accidents (N1 and N2) since the start of implementation.

The project covers a 15-kilometer long transmission line, with a voltage of 230 thousand volts, interconnecting the Coletora Sol do Cerrado and Jaíba substations, from where the energy is flowed to the National Interconnected System.
