New Intranet Cover (3)

Today, January 26th, is celebrated the World Day of Environmental Education. The date aims to reinforce environmental awareness practices through the exchange of experiences and positive examples.

In this sense, following the value of Socio-Environmental Responsibility, Aliança, through the Environmental Education Program, develops activities that contribute to the expansion of environmental awareness in the communities where it operates.

Acauã Wind Complex

Throughout 2025, at the Acauã Wind Complex — composed of four wind farms located in the municipalities of Santana do Matos, Lagoa Nova, São Vicente and Tenente Laurentino Cruz, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte — the Program was highlighted by educational activities carried out by Aliança’s Social Responsibility team.

Among the actions, the educational activities carried out in schools and communities were highlighted, such as guidance on proper planting practices, promotion of community gardens and waste collection efforts, among other initiatives that reinforced the importance of adopting sustainable practices in the region.

CESI and Gravier

At the Santo Inácio Wind Complex (CESI) and the Gravier Wind Power Plant, both located in the municipality of Icapuí (CE), throughout 2025, the Program developed several actions together with the local community. Among the initiatives, the Beach Cleaning Campaign, held at Quitérias Beach, in Icapuí, and the support for the Ecogranja Project of the Community Association for Sustainable Development of Gravier, aimed at the implementation of EcoGranja Gravier, stand out. These actions contributed in an integrated way to the social and environmental development of the region.

Aimorés HPP

At the Aimorés HPP, in Aimorés (MG), the Program is carried out at the Aliança Energia Botanical Park. The site, which has 186 hectares of reforested areas with native species of the Atlantic Forest, during the year 2025, received about 4,000 visitors who participated in various activities promoted by our social responsibility team, such as lectures, games, theater, games, among others.

In celebration of the date, the Community Relations analyst in Aimorés (MG), Tatiana Menezes, highlighted the importance of the program and what she hopes for the future:
“The Environmental Education Program developed by the Aliança Energia Botanical Park has been fundamental to strengthen environmental awareness and the bond between communities. For 2026, we hope to further expand this reach, diversifying activities and strengthening partnerships, in order to involve more and more people in building a responsible and lasting environmental culture.”

Funil HPP

At the Funil HPP, in Perdões (MG), the initiative takes place in schools in the region and, mainly, at the Funil Environmental Education Center (CEA Funil). The place is an educational space located inside the plant, which has activities conducted by the social responsibility team, with emphasis on the explanation of the operation of the plant and the Fish Transposition System. In 2025 alone, about 1,120 people visited the space.

Flávia Santos, the Community Relations analyst, highlighted the importance of the action:
“The Environmental Education Program of the Funil HPP is very important for the region because it contributes to the community’s awareness about the preservation of the environment and the responsible use of natural resources. Through our work, we were able to show in a practical way how energy generation can go hand in hand with sustainability, strengthening the sense of responsibility and care for the territory where we live.”

Today the AAliança Energia celebrates World Environmental Education Day, but throughout the year it has reaffirmed its commitment to building a more sustainable and humane future for generations to come, inspiring communities through positive example. The environmental education actions are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13 – Action Against Climate Change, and SDG 15 – Life on Earth.
