At the end of March, Aliança Energia supported the holding of the 1st Luau of the Quilombola Community of Macambira, promoted at the community’s viewpoint, located near the Acauã Wind Complex, in Rio Grande do Norte. The initiative was sponsored by Aliança Energia through the Culture Incentive Law.
The program included musical performances that stimulated the dissemination of popular culture, the exchange of knowledge and the recognition of local identity. With this, we expand the community’s access to cultural activities and support initiatives aimed at intangible cultural heritage.
The luau is part of the schedule of the Quilombola Museum of Macambira and uses culture as an instrument of social inclusion, preservation of memory, resistance and affirmation of quilombola identity. The meeting brought together residents, gave visibility to local cultural expressions and strengthened community bonds and the feeling of belonging to the territory.
