On June 15 and 16, Aliança Energia’s Community Relations analysts, Gustavo Xavier and Rubens de Souza, represented the company at the 3rd National ESG Congress, held in São Paulo. Recognized as the main meeting on ESG and sustainability in Latin America, the event brought together companies, experts and representatives from different sectors to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities related to the environmental, social and governance agenda.
With the theme “The New Era of ESG in the Changing World: those who act now lead”, the congress promoted debates on the adaptation of organizations to regulatory changes, market demands, and societal expectations. The event also reinforced the importance of adopting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a reference for building management models aligned with contemporary challenges, in addition to reinforcing that the ESG agenda continues to evolve and requires organizations to adapt, innovate and generate shared value.
The program was organized in three main axes:
- Social Agenda and Well-being: mental health in the workplace, with emphasis on Regulatory Standard No. 1 (NR-1), combating violence against women, diversity and inclusion.
- Environment: energy transition, climate change, circular economy and biodiversity conservation.
- Governance and Innovation: application of artificial intelligence in ESG strategies, transparency, and compliance with new regulations.

For Gustavo Xavier, participation in the congress provided important reflections on the role of companies in consolidating ESG practices.
“We have already developed initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and we recognize the results achieved. At the same time, the event showed that we still have room to move forward and incorporate ESG in an increasingly integrated way into our strategy. This path contributes to the mitigation of social and environmental risks, favors access to new investments, strengthens our social license to operate and improves our governance at all levels.”
Aliança Energia’s participation in the 3rd National ESG Congress reinforces its commitment to continuous updating on topics that impact the management and sustainability of businesses, the relationship with its stakeholders, and the generation of long-term value.
