Since the beginning of 2026, Aliança Energia has expanded its operations in Icapuí, a municipality neighboring the CESI Wind Complex and the Gravier Power Plant (CE), through the “Reading and Learning is Living” project, carried out by the Brazil Citizen Foundation with sponsorship from the company via the Rouanet Law.
The project contributes to the human development and sociocultural inclusion of children and adolescents, with art, music, reading and culture workshops, in addition to the structuring of libraries and toy libraries in schools and communities.
Since March, 40 children and adolescents from the Raimunda Lacerda School, in Icapuí, have participated in the activities on the premises of the Brazil Citizen Foundation, in the community of Requenquela. The expansion of the literary collection and educational actions contribute to the formation of critical and creative citizens. Dance and theater workshops are also promoted, using body expression as a tool for emotional development and appreciation of Brazilian popular culture.
For Aliança’s Community Relations analyst, Maria Rodrigues, this sponsorship represents a way to strengthen the relationship with the communities and contribute to the development of children and adolescents in the region. “Seeing their interest in the activities, the curiosity aroused by reading and the joy in the workshops shows that initiatives like this make a difference. I am very happy to closely follow this development and realize that investment in education and culture contributes to the formation and growth of these children and adolescents”, she highlights.
With this initiative, the company is aligned with the UN SDGs, with an emphasis on SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduction of Inequalities) and SDG 17 (Partnerships and Means of Implementation).
