Between August 24 and 26, the municipalities of Resplendor, Itueta and Aimorés, located in the area of influence of the Aimorés Hydroelectric Power Plant, hosted the show Florido – The Musical, by Companhia Mundo Cênico. Headquartered in Perdões (MG), the company brought free art, culture and entertainment to hundreds of residents of the region, through the support of Aliança, bringing together more than 500 spectators throughout the program.
Over three days of presentations, the musical brought together children, young people, adults and the elderly in public squares in the participating municipalities. With accessible language and elements of Brazilian popular culture, the show tells the fun story of Dona Zefinha, Bento and the inseparable Boi Florido, providing moments of leisure, reflection and enchantment for audiences of different age groups.
The presentations were carried out with the support of the municipal governments and are part of the relationship initiatives of Aliança Energia with the communities in the region of the Aimorés HPP. In addition to providing moments of leisure and coexistence, the action contributes to the democratization of access to culture and to the appreciation of public spaces as places for meeting, participation and community integration.
The program began on August 24, at Salustiano José de Paula Square, in Resplendor (MG), bringing together about 200 people. On August 25, Antônio Barbosa de Castro Square, in Itueta (MG), received approximately 150 spectators. On August 26, João Pinheiro Square, in Aimorés (MG), received another 150 people.
Also on the 26th, Companhia Mundo Cênico held a special presentation at the Aliança Energia Botanical Park, during the first visit of educators from the region and representatives of the press to Aliança Lab. On the occasion, participants were able to check out a preview of Florido – The Musical and learn a little about the artistic proposal that was part of the cultural program promoted by Aliança Energia. About 80 people followed the presentation.
Closing the tour’s agenda, a presentation of Florido – The Musical was scheduled in Baixo Guandu (ES), on August 27. However, adverse weather conditions and the volume of rainfall recorded in the municipality made it impossible to carry out the show, which had to be canceled for safety reasons.
According to Bruno Costa, Cultural Manager of Companhia Mundo Cênico, the public’s receptivity was one of the highlights of the tour.
“It was exciting to see the squares full and realize how people connected with the story and the characters. We thank Aliança Energia for the opportunity to bring culture to different communities and to everyone who participated in the presentations. Every applause and every smile reaffirms the importance of initiatives like this.”
For the public, the passage of the show left remarkable memories and highlighted the importance of expanding the offer of cultural activities in the countryside.
Spectator Eliane Costa Soares, from Aimorés, highlighted the relevance of receiving free cultural attractions in the city:
“I couldn’t miss this opportunity, since it’s so rare to have this kind of cultural attraction in Aimorés. I had fun with the story, the songs and I was happy to meet so many well-known people in the square, honoring the talent of the theater group that Aliança Energia brought to us.”
For Joseane Viola, Coordinator of Community Relations and Social Innovation at Aliança Energia, the support for the initiative reinforces the company’s commitment to promoting culture and generating opportunities for the communities surrounding its projects.

More than offering entertainment, the initiative highlights the role of culture as an instrument of social inclusion, citizenship training and appreciation of community life. With actions like this, Aliança Energia reaffirms its commitment to the sustainable development of the regions where it operates, contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
