Vehicle access through the dam of the Aimorés Hydroelectric Power Plant, near Pedra Lorena, in Aimorés (MG), will be temporarily closed between June 30 and July 3, always from 7 am to 5 pm.
The measure is necessary to continue the activities provided for in the preventive maintenance schedule of the structures and gates of the spillway.
During the period of execution of the services, vehicle traffic will be suspended at the site to ensure the safety of the teams responsible for the interventions and the users who use the road. Drivers who need to travel between municipalities and communities in the region should plan their routes in advance and use alternative routes, such as the Baixio road and the Resplendor side road.


About the Aimorés Hydroelectric Power Plant
Inaugurated on May 5, 2006, the Aimorés HPP is located in the Doce River Basin and covers the municipalities of Baixo Guandu (ES), Aimorés, Itueta and Resplendor (MG). With an installed capacity of 330 megawatts (MW), the plant is capable of generating enough energy to supply a city with one million inhabitants, playing an important role in the National Interconnected System (SIN).
