Between September 15 and 18, Aliança Energia held the Internal Week for the Prevention of Occupational Accidents (SIPAT) at the substation of the Acauã Wind Complex (RN). The program brought together the unit’s employees in a series of actions aimed at preventing accidents and taking care of safety in the workplace.
This year, the theme worked on was “Risks to the Physical Integrity of Employees”. During the four days of programming, different risk situations were addressed through lectures and activities that brought the issues into the context of the employees’ routine.
On the 15th, Gustavo Xavier, Community Relations analyst at Aliança Energia, led a conversation about the importance, diversity and care of bees. During the meeting, the necessary care in the presence of these animals and ways to avoid risk situations were highlighted. As part of the program, the “Buzz of Communication” dynamic was also held, in which employees built the SIPAT Beehive and worked, in a practical and participatory way, on the importance of communication for the prevention of accidents. The activity promoted a reflection on how the exchange of information, attention to what is communicated and dialogue between teams are part of the safety routine.

On the 16th, João Marcos Barbosa, a civil firefighter from João Câmara (RN), gave a lecture on the identification and management of snakes. During the meeting, ways to recognize these animals, the necessary care when finding them and how to act in the face of an occurrence were addressed.

On the 17th, Aderlan Medeiros da Silva, from the Military Traffic Police of Currais Novos (RN), participated in a conversation about traffic accidents. During the meeting, the risks related to travel and attention, respect for traffic rules and the adoption of preventive attitudes were discussed.

Closing the lecture program, on the 18th, psychologist Mariana Porto spoke about the abusive use of cell phones. The meeting highlighted the impacts of indiscriminate use of the device and the risks related to loss of attention during activities that require concentration. The “Navigating Risk” dynamic was also carried out, aimed at recognizing situations that may pose risks. From the activity, employees reflected on how to identify these scenarios and what attitudes can be adopted to avoid accidents.

During SIPAT, we also had moments of conversation among employees. The activities helped to bring the topics to situations that are part of our daily lives and to reflect on attitudes that can contribute to avoiding accidents. André Luiz, service provider at Aliança Energia for the company JPR, told about his experience:
“The SIPAT week was enriching, it brought several important issues to our daily lives. The theme of venomous animals, for example, which is a reality in our work, knowing which animals have venom, or not, and what to do if they are bitten, is fundamental for our safety”.
Aliança Energia believes that safety begins with the attitudes taken every day. SIPAT was an opportunity to remember care, talk about the risks of routine and share information that can make a difference.
