On May 6, Aliança Energia carried out a campaign aimed at promoting the health and well-being of employees working at the Santo Inácio Wind Complex and the Gravier Wind Power Plant (CE). The action had the support of the Health Department of Icapuí/CE and the partnership of the company Imunizze, to expand access to prevention.
During the campaign, tetravalent vaccines against influenza were made available to all participating employees. In addition to vaccination, a moment of awareness about hypertension was also promoted, focusing on the risks of the disease, forms of prevention and the importance of regular health monitoring. Participants were able to measure their blood pressure, with nurse Amanda Kelly, who also applied the vaccines.
The program also included a lecture on oral health, conducted by dentist Brenda Bruce, representative of the Icapuí Health Department. During the meeting, preventive care and the importance of maintaining oral health as a fundamental part of quality of life were reinforced. On the occasion, employees were encouraged to adopt healthier eating habits through a special coffee prepared for the event.
Regarding the importance of the initiative, Aliança’s Health and Safety service provider, Jakson Nunes, highlighted: “our vaccination and awareness campaign about hypertension was more than an act of individual protection; It was an action of care for the family and the collective. Caring for the health of our professionals is promoting a safer work environment. When I take care of my health and safety, I also take care of the health and safety of others.”
The service provider Marco Aurélio Barreto also reinforced the importance of the action: “the vaccination campaign carried out here at CESI was a very important moment for all of us employees. In addition to facilitating access to the vaccine, it demonstrates, in practice, the company’s care for the health and well-being of each person who works here. Participating in this campaign is to feel that we are part of a place that cares about our present and our future.
These actions reinforce Aliança’s care in always putting life first, through health promotion, disease prevention and continuous monitoring of the quality of life of all employees.
