Drivers who use the dam of the Aimorés Hydroelectric Power Plant as access between the municipalities of Baixo Guandu, Aimorés, Itueta and Resplendor should be attentive. Vehicle traffic will be temporarily interrupted on July 20 and 21, from 8:30 am to 5 pm, for the execution of modernization services of the spillway structures, in the vicinity of Pedra Lorena.
The interdiction is part of the plant’s modernization schedule, which foresees other interventions throughout the second half of 2026 with the aim of updating technologies, reinforcing the safety and operational reliability of the project.
During the execution of the services, the passage of vehicles through the dam will remain blocked to ensure the integrity of the teams involved and users.
Drivers who need to travel between the municipalities and locations served by the dam must schedule their routes in advance and use alternative routes during the interdiction period. The detour options are the Baixio road and the Resplendor side road.

Aliança Energia recommends that drivers anticipate their commutes whenever possible and consider the additional time needed for alternative routes during the two days of lockdown.
