On May 26, the Risoleta Neves HPP received 28 8th grade students from the Coronel Antoninho State School, located in the community next to the project, in Piedade de Ponte Nova (MG). The visit brought the young people closer to the reality of energy generation and allowed them to get to know the operation of a hydroelectric plant up close.
The interest of the students arose after a visit to the Usina Viewpoint. By observing the size of the structure, they showed curiosity to better understand how energy is produced. During the tour, the team presented the essential sectors of the operation: the loading and unloading area, the control room, the Fish Transposition System and the crest of the dam.
The students were accompanied by the school’s pedagogical team and the plant’s employees.
For us, it is always gratifying to open the doors of the plant and share knowledge with the community. As highlighted by Aliança’s Community Relations analyst, Iany Albergaria:
“Receiving visitors at our Plant is an enriching experience. The exchange of knowledge provides learning and development for all involved.”

Professor Felipe de Almeida highlighted the experience lived by the students:
“What caught our attention the most was the company’s commitment to safety and the way students were received. The team demonstrated professionalism and willingness to share knowledge, providing an important experience for learning.”
The initiative is aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with emphasis on SDG 4 – Quality Education, by promoting practical experiences that bring students closer to the reality of energy generation.

The Risoleta Neves HPP continues to contribute to initiatives of approximation and learning through the reception of visits from educational institutions. The appointment must be made in advance with Iany, by phone (31) 99079-7637, through the “Contact Us” option on the Aliança Energia website or by e-mail [email protected].
