Aliança Energia’s Social Action Policy seeks to establish guidelines, limits and guiding principles for the company’s social performance, promoting the generation of value for its stakeholders.

The Human Rights Policy seeks to guide Aliança Energia’s actions by incorporating respect, protection, and promotion of all Human Rights in the regions where it operates and throughout the entire life cycle of its projects.

Aliança’s Social Action Policy seeks to guide the company’s performance through the principles of social responsibility, promoting the generation of value for its stakeholders.
Currently, Aliança Energia’s social action model groups its actions into two main areas: Social Impact Management and Local Development.

Among these ethnically differentiated peoples are the indigenous and quilombolas. Aliança Energia develops a relationship based on respect for cultural diversity and the rights of these populations. In his area of direct activity, he relates to a quilombola community in Rio Grande do Norte: Associação dos Quilombolas da Macambira, where he develops actions focused on strengthening and valuing the Quilombola culture and supporting productive activity.


Objective

To establish guidelines, limits, and guiding principles for Aliança Energia’s social actions in all its ventures.


Application

This Policy is applicable to the Alliance’s actions, projects and social programs and, whenever possible, to the societies and/or consortia in which the Alliance holds a stake, respecting the cultural characteristics of the region or the traditional characteristics of the peoples in its area of influence.

Principles, values and premises:

  • Security as a non-negotiable value above any premise or result;
  • Acting with ethics, transparency and respect for human rights before the various segments of society;
  • Respect for social, cultural, environmental, political and ideological diversities in all locations where it operates;
  • Search for excellence and continuous improvement of its processes;
  • Austerity in the management of own or incentivized resources and in the hiring processes of third parties;
  • Proactivity in identifying and treating the impacts arising from its activities;
  • Acting within the limits of competence and in line with public policies;
  • Prioritization of neighboring communities and entities that operate within the area of influence of their projects;
  • Periodic evaluation of the quality of the service given to the communities and the effectiveness of the social projects it develops;
  • Compliance with internal rules related to anti-corruption and the legislation applicable to social entities as a premise for any support, partnership or relationship action;
  • Investment in social projects and programs aligned with the drivers for local development defined in this Policy, as well as the material built in participatory meetings with communities;
  • Prioritization in the use of the physical spaces already existing in each location;
  • Evaluation of projects in which sponsorships are possible with full deduction of the amount invested and counterparts aligned with the lines of action of this Policy;
  • Guarantee of the copyrights of the product, its actions or the projects it promotes by means of terms duly signed by the participant or their legal guardian.
