With the commitment to strengthen its inclusion and care actions in the territories where it operates, the Aliança Energia team was, in the last week of April, in the municipalities of São Vicente, Lagoa Nova, Santana do Matos and Tenente Laurentino Cruz, neighboring the Acauã Wind Complex, to advance in the implementation of a hippotherapy project aimed mainly at children with disabilities and developmental disorders.
The meetings involved the Association of Anjos que Montam, Municipal Secretariats and Municipal Councils for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (CMDCA). At this first moment, the proposal, the public served and the expected impacts were presented, scheduled to start in São Vicente and technical coordination of the Associação Anjos que Montam, a partner Aliança Energia based in Aimorés (MG) and with experience in rehabilitation and inclusion through hippotherapy.
The technical, institutional and operational aspects necessary for the implementation of hippotherapy, a therapeutic method that uses the horse as an instrument of rehabilitation and development, promoting physical, emotional, cognitive and social benefits for the public served, were also detailed. The Anjos que Montam Association will be responsible for guiding the methodology, training local teams and monitoring the execution of activities, ensuring technical quality and safety in the services.
In addition to the four technical meetings, the implementation of the project was also debated at the 8th Session of the City Council of São Vicente, where the proposal was presented and discussed. On the occasion, the councilors expressed support for the initiative, highlighting the relevance of hippotherapy as a tool for care, inclusion and promotion of quality of life.

During the session, Mayor Jane Soares de Medeiros also spoke positively about the project and highlighted: “It is with great gratitude that we receive again this wonderful company that has been helping us in the municipality, which is Aliança, which arrived with this brilliant project. We are very happy with this union. It is a union not with the mayor, not with the management, but for the people of São Vicente.”
For the coordinator of Community Relations and Social Innovation of Aliança Energia, Joseane Debortoli, the initiative represents another step in strengthening care and inclusion in the territories where Aliança Energia operates. “We believe that the development of territories also involves a human look and access to opportunities that promote dignity, welcoming, and quality of life. Hippotherapy is an initiative that combines care, inclusion and social transformation, especially for children and families who often do not have access to this type of specialized care. Our goal is to build this partnership with local municipalities and institutions, leaving a positive legacy for the region.”
The company’s initiative is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with emphasis on SDG 3 (Health and Well-Being), SDG 10 (Reduction of Inequalities) and SDG 17 (Partnerships and Means of Implementation).

The expectation of Aliança Energia is that the project will contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of children and their families in the municipalities involved in the company’s area of operation.
