Continuing the activities foreseen in the modernization of spillway equipment, the temporary interdiction of vehicle traffic through the dam of the Aimorés Hydroelectric Power Plant, near Pedra Lorena, will be extended until the night of September 18.
Drivers who use this path as access between the municipalities of Baixo Guandu, Aimorés, Itueta and Resplendor should be aware and look for alternative routes, also on Friday night (18/09), from 10 pm, until 5 am on Saturday (19).
In order to minimize inconvenience for those who go to the party in the city of Aimorés, exceptionally in this night interdiction, we will adopt the STOP and GO system, when necessary.
The interventions are part of the plant’s modernization schedule, which provides for a series of initiatives to improve the equipment, throughout the second half of this year, with traffic interruptions along the dam until October. To minimize the impacts on the routine of the communities, the blockades will take place at night. The schedule of each stage will be confirmed and updated according to the progress of the activities and published on the official channels of Aliança Energia.
During the execution of the services, the passage of vehicles through the dam will remain blocked to ensure the safety of the teams involved and users. Those who need to travel between the municipalities and locations served by the dam must schedule their routes in advance during the period of the interdictions. The detour options are the Baixio and Resplendor side roads:
Aliança Energia recommends that drivers anticipate their commutes whenever possible and consider the additional time needed for alternative routes during lockdown periods.
