On June 13, Aliança Energia held another edition of the Beach Cleaning Campaign, this time on the edge of Manibu, in Icapuí (CE). Promoted by the Santo Inácio Wind Complex and the Gravier Wind Power Plant, the initiative reached its fourth consecutive year and was part of the program of the month dedicated to the preservation of nature, in reference to World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5.
The action aimed to encourage the preservation of coastal ecosystems and the proper disposal of solid waste. The activity provided integration between employees and residents, bringing participants closer to environmental issues related to the care of the coast.
This year, 49 people participated, including own employees, third parties, local leaders and residents of the region. In all, approximately 470 kilos of waste were collected, contributing to the cleaning of Manibu Beach and the correct disposal of the materials found.
To support the campaign, Aliança Energia provided breakfast, water and the necessary materials for the collection, ensuring support for participants during the activity.

“Participating in this action was an opportunity to contribute to the community and to care for the environment. Seeing the participation of employees, residents and especially children shows the importance of involving everyone in this awareness work”, highlights Maria Rodrigues, Community Relations analyst at Aliança Energia.
The company’s initiative is aligned with SDG 14 – Life in the Water, with the protection of coastal environments and the sustainable development of the communities where it operates.

With another edition held, Aliança Energia continues to promote environmental education actions with communities, encouraging care for the environment and the preservation of natural resources.
