Aliança Energia was present at the ceremony in celebration of the three years of operation of the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Women of the Municipality of Icapuí, held on July 7, in the plenary of the legislative house. Representing the company, the Community Relations analyst, Maria Rodrigues, participated in the event, which brought together about 60 people, including authorities, local leaders and representatives of institutions committed to the promotion of women’s rights.
Aliança Energia’s participation took place at the invitation of the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Women of the Municipality of Icapuí, in recognition of the partnership that the company maintains with the municipality through social responsibility actions and initiatives aimed at citizenship and social inclusion. The meeting celebrated the advances achieved by the Attorney General’s Office since its creation in July 2023, considered a milestone for public policies aimed at women in the municipality.
Throughout the program, the authorities highlighted the importance of the Women’s Attorney’s Office in confronting gender violence, welcoming victims and articulating a support network capable of ensuring more security, assistance and access to rights. The ceremony also included the symbolic signing of the Women’s Rights Cooperation Agreement, reinforcing the commitment of the institutions involved with the promotion, protection and guarantee of women’s rights in the municipality. The event was also marked by moments of recognition and celebration, including the delivery of gifts to participants.

During her speech, Maria Rodrigues highlighted the convergence between the performance of the Attorney General’s Office and the commitments made by Aliança Energia in its Human Rights Policy.
“While listening to this morning’s speeches, I realized how much this initiative is aligned with the internal policy of Aliança Energia. The agenda of combating violence against women is also part of our commitment. We know that this is a topic that needs to be debated in all spaces, including within companies,” he said.
The company’s representative pointed out that Aliança Energia promotes awareness actions with employees and develops social projects in partnership with the municipality of Icapuí and with the councils for children and adolescents and the elderly, expanding opportunities for inclusion for girls, women and the elderly.
According to Maria, encouraging female participation in social, cultural and community projects contributes to the construction of autonomy and to the prevention of situations of vulnerability and violence.
“When women come together and talk, they build a protection network. It is in this dialogue that trust, acceptance and the courage to share difficult situations often arise. And it is from this listening that we are able to identify needs, offer support and transform realities”, he highlighted.
At the end, the analyst reaffirmed the willingness of Aliança Energia to continue supporting actions aimed at promoting citizenship and women’s rights in the municipality.
“I want to reaffirm that Aliança Energia remains at the disposal of the municipality of Icapuí to support initiatives like this. I thank you again for the invitation and congratulate the City Hall, the Women’s Attorney’s Office and all those involved for this very relevant work. Always count on us.”
The ceremony ended with the traditional song of congratulations for the three years of the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Women of the Municipality of Icapuí, celebrating its work in defense of the rights, shelter and protection of women in the municipality.
