As part of the strengthening of its governance and risk management, Aliança Energia held, on March 24, an online training on the Sanctions Policy, bringing together its own employees and third parties. Led by Flávia Reis, from the Compliance team, the meeting reinforced the importance of the topic for all areas of the company.
With the entry of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) as the majority shareholder, international sanctions have gained even more relevance in the company’s governance structure, requiring greater diligence in the relationship with suppliers, partners and other third parties.
At the opening, Paulo Cruz, Aliança’s Financial and Administrative Director, highlighted:
“Understanding a sanctions policy is part of our due diligence. Knowing the rules and the consequences allows us to make better decisions with less risk.”
The closing was in charge of Carlos Pavanelli, Director of Operation and Engineering at Aliança, who highlighted the practical application of the theme in day-to-day operations.
For Frederick Nunes, Aliança’s Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit Manager, the training reinforces the importance of treating sanctions as a strategic issue, essential for the protection of the company and its credibility.
Aliança Energia remains committed to promoting a culture of compliance, ethics and integrity.
