Between July 6 and 10, Aliança Energia signed five Terms of Agreements with community institutions in the localities of Lajeado Alto, Lajeado do Meio and Lajeado do Cruzamento, communities neighboring UFV Sol do Cerrado, in Jaíba (MG).
The formalization of the agreements took place through signatures of the presidents of the partner institutions. In all, Aliança Energia allocated R$ 232,800.00 to initiatives aimed at community strengthening, sports, culture and the improvement of spaces for collective use. The financial transfers were made on August 3, allowing the start of the planned actions.
Among the initiatives supported is the construction and renovation of community spaces in Lajeado Alto, Lajeado do Meio and Lajeado do Cruzamento. The improvements will provide more suitable environments for meetings, productive activities and participation of residents, benefiting approximately 100 families, about 400 people. The works have an execution period of 12 months.
The company also entered into a partnership with the Jaíba Athletic Association, through the Citizen Sports Project, to offer sports activities to children, adolescents and young people from the communities of Lajeado Alto and Lajeado do Cruzamento. For this initiative, the resource includes the acquisition of materials, uniforms and equipment, in addition to holding workshops on sports, leisure, games and games defined together with the participants and the communities.
The program also includes sports tournaments, activities on commemorative dates, kite festivals and mini-athletics actions, always in alignment with the participating communities. Lasting eight months, the initiative will benefit about 40 children, adolescents and young people, encouraging values such as discipline, citizenship, cooperation and teamwork. The activities will be developed in the communities of Lajeado Alto and Lajeado do Cruzamento.
Another initiative supported by the company is the Cultural Village Project, developed by the Chico Xavier Fraternal Living Center. With this partnership, the action will expand access to culture, art and the promotion of community life. Although the activities are expected to directly serve about 20 women in the community, the project will benefit all residents of Lajeado do Cruzamento, promoting integration, participation and social development.
The proposal aims to promote the personal and social empowerment of a group of women in the community through handicraft workshops, production of new pieces, moments of active listening and preparation and distribution of nutritious soup. The activities will take place twice a week, over eight months.
The results of this set of actions reinforce Aliança Energia’s relationship with the communities surrounding UFV Sol do Cerrado. Marly Medeiros, president of the Lajeado do Meio Community Association, comments on the importance of this partnership for residents.
